Designed, manufactured and installed by ECC and crew, this kitchen was made wheelchair accessible. The owner had special needs for cooking and wanted the island designed so that she could sit with her two adult children occasionally as opposed to eating in the formal dining room. The island is designed so that she is able to serve the dinner right at the table. It has custom hardwood pillars that allow open floor space. They are constructed to support the enormous weight of the granite slab. The corner glass hutch was designed to utilize the space and tie it into the rest of the kitchen. It displays photos and other collectibles. Another unique feature is the flat screen television in the upper corner cabinet. There is a plate rack cabinet, custom under cabinet lighting, matching refrigerator panels, crown molding and custom stain. (Glastonbury, CT 2004)

This maple kitchen with traditional mahogany stain was designed along with a total remodel from floor to ceiling. An entry door was removed and replaced with an oven and cooktop. A pass- thru above the sink was enclosed. Many details were custom added including a working fireplace that make this kitchen one-of-a-kind. (West Hartford, CT 2004)

This kitchen in Portland Connecticut was a total renovation from floor to ceiling. The project consisted of the removal of ceramic tile and carpet in the family room and kitchen. Hardwood floors were installed by weaving in to match existing hallway and dining room hardwood floors. The partition wall beside the TV was removed to open up the floor-plan. The entire ceiling was taken down and new recessed lights were installed throughout the kitchen and adjoining hallway.
Granite countertops with ceramic tile installed diagonally were chosen to create this overall look. Under cabinet lighting was installed to illuminate coutertops as well as provide sufficient task lighting. Original white cabinets were replaced with all wood custom maple cabinets with a hand rubbed cinnamon glaze stain. Two toe kick heaters were also installed to provide heated floorspace.

In order to provide more storage, refrigerator is moved and enclosed on far wall after removing a bearing wall. This entailed installing a structural beam to make the dining room door wider enabling enclosure of the refrigerator and opening the kitchen to the dining area. Crown molding and baseboard is installed to provide continuity between the kitchen and hallway. (Complimentary bottles of Ruby Zinfandel created especially by European Custom Cabinets' own Vintner.)

Upper and lower base cabinets replace old refrigerator and wrap around into a full pantry. This replaces a hallway closet. Upper corner cabinet is fully functional. This detail makes the kitchen unique as well as functional. The smaller granite counter follows the counter of the base angles complete with Ogee edge profile.
